I went to woods because of I wanted to live deliberately. 

I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life! 

To rout all that was not life, 

And not, when I came to die discover that I had not lived. 



我去林中只因我要審慎生活，我要深究生活並吮啜生命精華， 

擊潰所有不屬於生命的事物，我死時不願發現我沒有生活。
